Gwendolyn P.Harris
“ THE SMOOTH JAZZ DIVA”
Ms. Gwendolyn P.Harris is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who has deep affection for music and was introduced to music at the age of 6 thanks to her mother who was a musician (violinist) and a school teacher in the Philadelphia Public School system. Gwendolyn played in many bands and orchestras throughout her elementary, high school and college years. She loves her alma mater Hampton University, which is one of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and takes pride that she was part of such a great organization and institution.
Gwendolyn is a retired veteran of the United States Army Reserves with 36 years of service, 10 of those years were active duty.
Gwendolyn wears many hats. She is the owner and CEO of Elite Events by Mulata, LLC which is an event coordinating business and she is the owner and CEO of SJ Diva Management and Productions, LLC, which promotes smooth jazz concerts and manages various musical artists.
You can find Gwendolyn (The Smooth Jazz Diva) on the Smooth Jazz Diva Radio Network, in Honolulu ,Hawaii where she is a producer and radio host of her own radio show on Sundays, “ Smooth Jazz Sundays in Paradise’ ’which is one of the the only smooth jazz radio shows in Hawaii. You can also find her as a host of two shows on Think Tech Hawaii, where she interviews a variety of entertainers both locally and around the world and talks about the experience of attending a Historical Black College and University.
Gwendolyn is a member of many National organizations and they are, the Hawaii Islands Chapter of The Pierians, Incorporated , Chairman of Military/Veteran Affairs for the Hawaii Branch of the NAACP, National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment, member of The Recording Academy(The Grammys), Music Business Association, American Veterans (AMVETS) and the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).
